Experience Required:
- Define, implement and execute Air Freight business development and pricing/tariff strategies to maximize profits and grow Air Freight market share on the assigned area being covered
- Minimum 6 Years industry experience (especially Air Freight) with minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
- Candidate must have working knowledge of Air freight logistics division both Export and Import
- Should be capable of starting the Air freight vertical and running it as a profitable division
- Coordinates all transnational operations (Export, Import and Customs activities), adhering to regulations and internal procedures
- Must have good relations with Air lines / Air freight brokers and Candidate must provide a business plan for the first 6 months which should include investment needed, returns on investment and break even time needed.
- Candidate should know the procedures for obtaining AWB stocks from Airlines.
- Provides guidelines to Export, Import and Gateway to ensure transactional operations are consistent with group business strategy and compliant with the local business environment
- Develops a high performance service culture within the Export and Import Departments
- Manages interface with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers as required
- Accountable for results of a large multi-category department, supply chain, or complex product lines, ensuring that performance meets overall business needs, including strategy, costcost savings, direction and people management
- Presentable with good interpersonal and communication skills
- This role must be self motivated with a positive attitude and strong drive to exceed their targets
- Ability to influence and negotiate with outside vendor
